Gather ’round the fire and prepare yourself for a night of some of the scariest, most awe inspiring Ghost stories you’ll ever hear… from people in your own community! Hear tales from fellow Kingstonian’s about the Ghosts of CFRC, The Grad Club and various local houses. Come and share a scary tale of your own! On FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH of November, 7pm sharp, at the Artel (205 Sydenham st). Mouthy is a new, monthly, storytelling series in Kingston, Ontario. Each event will have a different theme and anyone will be able to tell a story, factual or fictional, of their own or someone else’s, at these events. It’ll be done open mic style and will air on CFRC the following week.

Queen’s University lecture recording: Feministing
Feministing.com is a blog that addresses various topics relating to feminism. Three editors of feministing.com are currently engaged in a Fall Tour to talk about their blog and the pertinence of choosing to blog on the topic of feminism. This recording features 1)Vanessa Valenti talking about blogging, why blog, why blog about feminism, fan mail and hate mail, 2) Courtney Martin talking about feminism, the obstacles of identifying as such, different kinds of feminism, and 3) Miriam Perez talking about gender identity and recounting a personal story. The three talks are preceded by a great introduction by Kym Nacita, co-chair of the Queen’s University Women’s Center, speaking about her experience as it relates to feminism at Queen’s University and community.
