July 24, 2009 · Posted in Content ·
2009 marks the 34th annual Prisoners Justice Day. Prisoners Justice Day originated in memory of Eddie Nalon, a prisoner who bled to death in the segregation unit of Millhaven Maximum Security Prison on August 10, 1974. This year, CFRC recognizes Prisoners Justice Day with a special live broadcast from 4-8pm. Tune in for a history of Prisoners Justice Day and Kingston area institutions, as well as interviews and features on topics including life on the inside and post-incarceration, political prisoners, prison abolition and restorative justice.
